Environmental Pollution and Global Issues
Last Date of Submission: Nov 15, 2026
FOCUS OF THE COLLECTION
Environmental pollution has emerged as one of the most pressing global challenges of the 21st century, affecting ecosystems, biodiversity, and human health. Rapid industrialization, urban expansion, unsustainable resource utilization, and increasing waste generation have contributed significantly to the degradation of air, water, and soil quality. Pollutants such as heavy metals, plastics, pesticides, industrial effluents, and greenhouse gases continue to threaten environmental sustainability and ecological balance. This thematic collection aims to provide a comprehensive platform for researchers, academicians, and practitioners to present innovative studies on environmental pollution, toxicity assessment, ecosystem impacts, and mitigation strategies. The collection emphasizes interdisciplinary approaches that explore the sources, pathways, and consequences of pollutants while highlighting sustainable solutions for environmental protection. By fostering scientific dialogue and knowledge exchange, this collection seeks to contribute to informed decision-making and the development of effective policies for a healthier and more sustainable future.
